Former Apartment House on Cherokee Goes Single Family

A grand mansion from the turn of the century located at 2115 Cherokee Parkway near the Castleman Monument (the guy on the horse) is undergoing a complete top-to-bottom renovation. Less than a year ago, the property was divided up into seven tiny apartments and wasn’t in the best condition. The property sold, but it was unclear if the new owner would reclaim the house for single family living or turn the massive building into condominiums. We stopped by to find an ambiguous sign in the front yard declaring the house offered “modern luxuries with the charm of yesteryear.” Does that mean house or condos? It turns out that the house is in fact being converted back to single family use and is on the market for just over $900,000 which includes new plumbing, electricity, kitchen, and a prestigious address. The house boasts several ornate stained-glass windows and a marble foyer with a full marble staircase.
