Okay, so the overtime work we told you about yesterday evidently went toward installing the base of a third tower crane at the northwest corner of the arena site. Our prediction of matching blue cranes proved true, but at least there will be three cranes to watch and photograph. There nothing like multiple overlapping tower cranes to feel like theres real progress being made.
We believe now that the rumored 4th crane will not materialize. The placement of the three cranes in a triangular arrangement leaves little room for another crane. Once fully set up, these cranes will bring the new total tower crane count to 6 in and around downtown.

I took a walk downtown today and made it a point to stop by the arena site. I tell you what… it’s so awesome to see three tower cranes all within the same block. It’s going to be great watching construction of the arena over the coming months.
