Leadership Louisville is now accepting applications for the Ignite Louisville Class of 2010, but you have to act fast since the deadline is May 18.  Ignite Louisville is a program specially designed for young professionals to develop their leadership skills.  Here’s some more information on the program from Leadership Louisville:

The Leadership Louisville Center is now accepting applications for the Ignite Louisville Class of 2010.

Ignite Louisville is a six-month program that grows young professionals by developing the key components of leadership: skills, networking, community understanding and engagement. Some topics include personal vision and planning, team leadership, communication and critical thinking. The program was developed in partnership with the Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) to provide a program to address the needs of emerging and growing leaders in Metro Louisville. The Leadership Louisville Center is seeking high potential young professionals between the ages of 25 and 39 to apply for the 2010 class.

In addition to the programs core curriculum, the participants compete in the Make Your Mark Challenge,” a service project founded by Makers Mark Distillery, Inc. which challenges class members to tackle a community issue during the course of the program and beyond.

Now entering its sixth year, Ignite Louisville has provided valuable leadership training for young professionals looking to take their careers and their community to the next level.

Ignite Louisville is sponsored by Norton Healthcare.

The Ignite Louisville class of 2010 will begin in October 2009 and run through April 2010.

Applications will be accepted through May 18. Interested candidates should go to Leadership Louisville’s website, www.leadershiplouisville.org to apply starting April 1.

Looks like a really interesting program. Too bad it costs $3500! Yikes.

Apparently you have to have $$$ to be a future leader in Louisville.
