Construction continues at the site of Presentation Academy’s new Arts & Athletics Complex on the corner of Fourth Street and Breckinridge Street in SoBro. Last time we checked in, concrete walls had just been tilted up. Since then, the building has officially topped out (okay, its not that tall, but it’s a ceremonial day in the life of any building) and a roof structure has been installed.
Today, we spotted the first signs of a finished skin along the alley. The entire building will predominantly be covered in red brick, but the project renderings show a cast stone base and details including a dramatic entry arch. This one is going fast, so expect to see more of the facade revealed pretty soon.

Branden founded Broken Sidewalk in 2008 while practicing architecture in Louisville. He continued the site for seven years while living in New York City, returning to Louisville in 2016.
