So close yet so far away. This little retail strip on Taylorsville Road near Bardstown Road (where Fleet Feet will open a new location on October 17) attempts to be urban-minded by placing a parking lot in the back and retail storefronts facing the road. Unfortunately, it falls short in following through. While it sits in one of Louisville’s distinctly walkable neighborhoods, the designers forgot to make an actual connection to the sidewalk even though the building entrances are only a few feet away! A little bit of concrete could go a long way here.
