Happy Repeal of Prohibition Day! Prohibition ended 81 years ago, on December 5, 1933, and Kentucky Bourbon has been getting better with age ever since. To celebrate, take nine minutes to check out this video of a five-day, 12-distillery blitz tour of the bourbon making process from Gear Patrol. Then be sure to check out this article recounting their tour of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, including a number of stops right here in Louisville.

According to Gear Patrol:

We toured 12 distilleries in a five-day blitz, asking everyone we met to walk us through the bourbon-making process. Here, you’ll find all of the steps that go into making America’s unique take on whiskey. Watch and learn.

The distilleries include Maker’s Mark, Buffalo Trace, Willett, Jim Beam, and Woodford Reserve among others. Please celebrate responsibly! [h/t Gizmodo.]
