One year ago today, we posted our first story: a groundbreaking. Since then, we’ve tried to bring you the story of Louisville. To be honest, when the BS first started, we wondered how long it would be before we ran out of stories. One year down and we’ve found we can’t keep up. The deeper you look, the more interesting Louisville is.
We’ve written up stories big and small, followed the mega-projects, and took you inside just about everything else. Broke a few stories and posted others you wouldn’t find anywhere else; told you of buildings we think are great and lamented the loss of others. We posted plenty of photos (over 2,400 actually), warned of impending doom, and even threw in a little inspiration of our own. We even crowned an unlikely champion in the BS Neighborhood Derby. Over 750 posts later, the Broken Sidewalk stretches out as far as we can see.
But we need your help to make Broken Sidewalk even better. Are you a writer or photographer or have an unquenchable interest in Louisville? Become a BS Correspondent and help generate even more content for the Louisville-obsessed. If you’re interested at any level, send us an email to bs@brokensidewalk.com and we’ll go from there. Everyone can help out by sending in tips and photos to tips@brokensidewalk.com and spreading the word. Terrible two’s here we come.
Thanks, of course, to all the readers and tipsters and friends of Broken Sidewalk who have really kept the site going. We hope this is just the beginning.
One of my favorites! BS helps me keep on top of this great and ever changing city.
