The new Allied Health Building at the Downtown campus of the Jefferson Community & Technical College has made quite a bit of progress since the last time we checked in. Most of the building’s brick has already been laid and a metal panel wall is waiting to be installed.
With structural work complete, the tower crane long looming over the construction site on Second Street near Chestnut Street has also been removed. A dramatic stair tower topped by a curving roof dominates the west facade. Today, exterior walls were being framed, remaining bricks placed, and stacks of metal panels sitting ready for installation. Design of the building was done by Arrasmith, Judd, Rapp, Chovan of West Main Street.
