Go To June’s Car Free Happy Hour
Seriously, folks. If you haven’t been to a Car Free Happy Hour yet, your missing out. (Okay, I admittedly haven’t been, but I have a pretty good excuse being a thousand miles away.) I’m hearing from people all over town that these events are a really good time and it’s certainly a good way to network with other Louisvillians interested in alternative transportation.
Your next chance to participate will be Tuesday, June 29 (that’s tomorrow!) at the Dragon King’s Daughter (1126 Bardstown Road). The venue should be enough to get you there from 5:30 ’til 8:00 PM.
Report back on how it went if you go.

I apologize for the hiatus; Broken Sidewalk is not ending. I have been working to get everything up and running again and part of that is a redesign that’s almost done. 0Hopefully this blog will continue since there is SO MUCH development going on right now in the city. However, if it is nearing the end, a big round of applause for Branden who has done a remarkable job. If it is to continue, keep up the great work! You definitely have a following! PS and I’m jealous of the new NYC address…next to Louisville, I love that city more than any other!

0Until Branden gets the forum up and running are people open to discussing more things in the comments? Maybe post items of interest you come across?
For instance, Family Scholar House recently broke ground on their new Downtown Scholar house campus on Breckenridge, 1st and 2nd. I don’t have any photos but it’s worth walking around. It looks like it will be entirely housing, is a bit set back from the sidewalk, maybe two stories in height. Also, that unpleasant looking apt. complex that is a little further up first is either being refurbished or torn down and it looks to be a part of the same project. I have hard time believing anyone could make that look attractive so I kind of hope they are tearing it down and replacing it with something more pedestrian friendly but that doesn’t really seem to be the case. And just to kinda weigh in, I don’t understand this attitude that Branden owes us something, he doesn’t, neither explanations or more articles. I really love this site but it is his and he can do whatever he wants with it. -
