Okay, so the Phoenix Lofts are basically in Phoenix Hill. But they sit on the Original Highlands side of Broadway at the corner of Rubel Avenue. Whichever neighborhood they call home, these are condos that play the townhouse game right. They feel urban-residential; something that Louisville has struggled with over the years.

The grand stairs leading to the second floor entrance gives the appearance of a brownstone house, but these are clad in dark greyish black brick and limestone. Sleek. The development has five 1-2 bedroom units with all the extras (along with an extra luxurious price). But look at the bigger picture: the location is great. The Phoenix Lofts sit on a quiet residential street right in the city. You’ve got downtown just down Broadway to one side and the Highlands up Baxter Avenue to another, and take Payne Street down to the Frankfort Avenue Trolley Hop.
