Joe’s Crab Shack on the downtown Wharf is nearly finished with its new coat of white paint.
The building was originally left unpainted to sport a weathered-rustic look, and it pulled off the effect rather well. The new paint is, well, still too new. It will require some time to age and acquire that crab-joint flaking-paint patina. In the sun, the building is very bright, so hopefully the intended effect is for the paint to peel and wear down.
