Another group of historic buildings dating to 1875 on Main Street in New Albany will soon come back to life. Situated directly across the street from the new YMCA Aquatic Center, the two building group was recently sold by the New Albany Redevelopment Commission to developer Steve Resch for $87,500. That’s down sharply from the $222,500 asking price posted last September.
City officials say Resch, owner of Resch Construction, will remove some dilapidated portions of the building (presumably add-on structures around the back of the building?) and bring back the structures’ historical quality. There’s no specific use yet determined for the site, but the great location should provide a great opportunity for someone.
