I mentioned this event last week, but it’s worth repeating. Tonight at 6:00 PM, a new PBS documentary called Beyond the Motor City will be shown at the Chao Auditorium at the University of Louisville’s Ekstrom Library. The film will look at the future of transportation in America through the filter of Detroit. The trailer looks like it’s going to be a good show. The event is free and sponsored by CART, Bicycling for Louisville, and the Center for Environmental Policy at the University of Louisville.
Here’s a map to the Ekstrom Library which is accessible by multiple forms of transportation. It’s on several TARC routes (2, 4, 29, and 94), has plenty of bike facilities (see bike route map), and pay parking is available at the Speed Museum or the “green lot” off Third Street just past the overpass on the left. There’s also a Facebook page for the event for more details and to tell your friends.
The movie showing will be at 6PM, not 10PM as stated in the article!
Thanks SushiK, I updated the post to reflect the correct time. I must have been looking at the 10 for the date when I typed it in.
