Actors Theater Smart Car Wrapped Up In A Bow
Actors Theater Smart Car Wrapped Up In A Bow. (Branden Klayko / Broken Sidewalk)

It seems the Smart Car, that tiny European 2-seater that inspires awe or fear into all who lay eyes upon it, has become this season’s preferred raffle item. The Smart Car has just nudged out the Vespa from seasons past, and is now the potential prize of one lucky ticket holder (or two). Two raffles currently going on in town feature the 40+ MPG vehicle as the door prize, and the proceeds go to good causes: Volunteers of America and Actor’s Theater of Louisville.

Both drawings will sell 1,000 tickets priced at $100 each (okay, the VOA ticket is $99 for you penny pinchers). The VOA drawing will be held November 21 at Porcini’s Restaurant and the Actors reveal will be January 24 at the Galt House. The car pictured above (yep, the one with the bow), belongs to Actors Theater. The Volunteers of America are giving away a red cabriolet version, so you better choose wisely. Both organizations allow ticket purchases online.

The Actors Theater Smart Car even has its own YouTube video where they drive the thing through the front doors and right into their lobby. Behold…
