The C-J reported about a motorist who drove all the way through a house in Hillview. Here are some details from the C-J:

Shortly after 2 a.m., James Steele, 19, ran a stop sign at Hillview Boulevard and Brookley Drive and drove into a home in the 600 block of Hillview Boulevard, said Hillview Police Officer Roy Raines.

Steele, of Hillview, drove his 2002 Mercury through a bedroom, living room, kitchen and utility room before driving out the back of the rental home, Raines said. Three adults and one child were home at the time, and one man suffered a broken ankle, possibly from flying debris, he said.

The driver likely won’t be charged and there’s an investigation into the cause ongoing. It’s lucky this one wasn’t deadly. Read more at the C-J.

  1. Something really fishy here. Not under the influence, yet runs (really runs!) a stop sign within walking distance of his home?!?

Hope he a) has car insurance, and b) has coverage enough to replace a house.

    This one's really crazy…
