I really just wanted to share this photo that landed in the Broken Sidewalk inbox over the weekend. It has a certain energy that’s pretty nice. I had an all-access pass to the Idea Festival and I was delighted to see that NuLu was having this festival tie-in to draw, especially, out-of-town guests to the NuLu area (I steered a couple to 732 Social). I ran down to NuLu from the KY Center in time to hear The Instruction, my favorite new Louisville band, but then I had to run back to the Center to see the amazing Richard Kogan play and talk about Tchaikovsky (it was a rich experience). But I was horrified when I found out Cheyenne Mize, with whom I am madly in love and who is a deep, deep talent, played with Sollee. I’m glad someone got their performance up on YouTube. Two of Louisville’s finest (and cutest) talents together. The range and depth of Louisville’s music is amazing.
